Our dad was a hard working man that ran his own business's most of his life. He would do anything for anyone and was always there for us girls. We miss him very much. Dad was hit with cancer in November 2003 and sadly lost his battle 6 weeks later. He was a very proud man and the thought of people looking after him terrified him and he at first refused to go into the hospice, as in his mind it was somewhere to go and die. But he was in so much pain we convinced him to at least go there to get his pain relief sorted out. When he arrived the girls there couldn't do enough for him and within 2 days he was back to his old self. We got him home again over xmas which was the best thing ever, having our dad back. But unfortunately the cancer took hold and he was back in the hospice on the 28th December. We cant thank the staff enough for the love and care they gave our Dad and all the family and they made his last day very comfy. That's why we all want to give something back to this amazing place and thank them for their amazing dedication they gave Dad x
